No domingo 30 de Setembro de 2012, o Ricardo e restante familia rumaram para Coimbra para a última prova da Taça de Portugal de DHU em 2012.
Das quatro provas calendarizadas desta Taça, o Ricardo só pode estar presente em duas (a 1ª em Penacova e a 4ª e ultima em Coimbra), não esteve presente em Mertola (2ª Prova) e em Belas-Sintra (3ª Prova). A sua não presença não foi devido a lesão ou por não querer participar, mas prendeu-se a motivos económicos, pois como não é atleta que receba patrocinios (coisa que não tivesse, procurado, mas infelizmente para o DH as empresas não apostam, gostando mais de apostar no Futebol), por isso e devido aos custos da deslocações a Mertola e Belas, não participou nessas etapas da Taça.
Às nova da manhã já estavamos a estacionar a viatura, que transportava a familia e a Bike (BIGHIT) para depois de o Piloto ter passado pelo secretariado da prova, afim de entregar o cartão de atleta federado e confirmar a sua presença, lá rumamos para o reconhecimento do percurso, isto feito a pé.
As primeiras impressões foram de que a prova iria ser um pouco fisica, com um percurso bonito, misto pois tinha zonas em terra e outras em pedra, com obstaculos montados pela organização que estavam bem construidos e o percurso muito bem marcado com fitas balizadoras.
Depois foi o começar os treinos, para sentir a pista, ver quais as melhores trajetórias, analisar os saltos e essencialmente analisar o piso, principalmente o de pedra (algo escorregadio, pois era de pedra calcaria). O Ricardo efetuou três descidas e logo se começou a notar que o pessoal iria chegar à linha de meta com a lingua de fora, isto se por acaso não tivesse alguma escorregadela durante o percurso na zoan de pedra.
Às 14 horas, começaram as hostilidades, primeiro com a Promoção, Femininos, Juniores, Cadetes e por fim os Elites. Nesta primeira descida o Ricardo chegou à meta já estourado, não tendo efetuado um grande tempo, ficou-se pelo meio da tabela.
Às 16 horas a segunda manga, e o Ricardo melhorou o tempo da primeira manga, não dando para melhorar na classificação geral. Como quase sempre o vencedor da prova foi o José Borges, tendo sido o Vencedor da Taça o Paulo Domingos ( O Amarelo), já que no computo de todas as provas da Taça foi o que somou mais pontos.
Mais uma época cumprida, com uma Bike que se nota que está ultrapassada. mas é a que tem. Como não podia deixar de ser também houve um pequeno precalço com a roda traseira da bike do Ricardo, pois no obstaculo da zona do Padock, a recepção não foi a mais correta e como aroda traseira bateu na esquina, amaçou a jante, mas por incrivel que pareça, mesmo assim o Ricardo ainda conseguiu trazer a bike até há linha de meta. Para o ano a ver vamos.
Tudo vai depender do que estiver para vir, tanto a nivel Financeiro, como patrocinios angariados, se os houver, como até no calendário que a federação marcar e locais e datas.

On Sunday, September 30, 2012, Ricardo and remaining family headed to Coimbra for the final round of the Portugal Cup DHU in 2012.
Of the four races scheduled this Cup, Ricardo can only be present in two (1st Penacova and the 4th and last in Coimbra), was not present in Mertola (2nd Test) and Fine-Sintra (3rd Test). Its not presence was not due to injury or for not wanting to participate, but if held to economic reasons, because how non-athlete who receives sponsorship (something he had not sought, but unfortunately for DH firms do not bet, enjoying more than betting on football), and so due to costs of travel to and Mertola Fine, did not participate in these stages of the Cup.
The new morning we were already to park the car, carrying the family and the Bike (BIGHIT) to the pilot after having passed through the race office, in order to deliver the card federated athlete and confirm their presence, there we headed to the recognition of the route it done on foot.
First impressions were that the evidence would be a little physical with a beautiful mixed route because I had other areas on land and in stone, with obstacles mounted by the organization were well built and the route well marked with ribbons balizadoras.
After the training was the start to feel the track, see what the best paths, analyze heels and essentially examine the floor, mainly stone (something slippery, as was limestone). Ricardo made three descents and soon began to notice that the staff would get to the finish line with the stock off, this is not by chance had any slip along the way in Zoan stone.
At 14 o'clock, the hostilities began, first with the Promotion, Women, Juniors, Cadets and finally the Elites. In this first descent Ricardo reached the goal already popped, not having made a great time, it was-the middle of the table.
At 16 hours the second sleeve, and Ricardo improved the time of the first sleeve, not giving to improve overall. As almost always a match winner was José Borges, having been the Cup winner Paulo Domingos (Yellow), since the computation of all evidence Cup was what added more points.
One more time met with a bike you notice that is outdated. but always has. How could it be there was also a small mishap with the rear wheel of the bike Ricardo, because the obstacle of the Paddock area, the reception was not the most correct and how Aroda back hit the corner, amaçou the rim, but amazing enough, yet Ricardo still managed to bring the bike's finish line. Next year we'll see.
Everything will depend on what is to come, both financially and raised sponsorship, if any, as to the timing and scoring the federation locations and dates.
