Today November 15, 2009, a day of heavy rain, more like the end of the world participated over my son and nephew Ricardo Pedro Marathon in Paço de Sousa - Land of Egas. Dificel route already by nature, but due to bad weather further dificel was. Mud, muddy, slippery surfaces, many puddles and then wind ... Given the starting (symbolic) at 09:30, close to secondary school, there headed the "zany BTT" about 1500 meters to true departure. How could it be going up soon, entering the House of Gaiato, then start entering the rails that the Organization has arranged for BTTistas. There were few single tracks, but the dirt roads were muddy where we walked, it seemed that the bike got stuck in the ground and always rising. When we reached the top, we descend along a granitic crowded, slippery and therefore dangerous. Not much to say about this marathon, new rails, others already known, a lot of mud, many puddles, windy, and then in the middle of the forest to scare. Another situation of this marathon is that I could not take pictures, because as the weather was terrible, did not give because what we wanted was to finish fast and on the other hand did not want to damage the camera. This marathon estavm also go to the Pereira de Sousa and the road, but due to several related situçoes family could not go. Was stiff as a board and around the 13:30 minute we were already in the school canteen eating. for 15.30 was home trying to recover from one of the wettest marathon we did. As a reminder here is a photo of the Dorsal "3 Crayzy MTB"

Aqui ficam algumas fotos tiradas durante a Maratona.
On 10 October 2009, me, my son and nephew Ricardo Pedro, plus fellow cycling road Sousa, Pereira and Jorge Fonseca and another teammate participate in Povoa do Varzim Marathon. Let our third participation in this race and yet still like to do it. this event is organized by SCHOOL EVENTS, and truth be told, has a lot to expand, in this issue of the railings provide MTBikers. I say this because as Povoa is a growing city and also primarily agricultural, the Organization does not have much to choose from the tracks and bridleways offer BTTistas. The marathon started at the Bullring Povoa do Varzim and after a short course within the city, there we biked towards Monte S. Felix, who was the first difficulty, then the Monte entered a large decrease in clay road parallel and when the whole gang was already at speed, get the squad MTBikers to stop. Began as a rail stop dirt, with a slight slope, some BTTistas dismounted the bike and were making the journey on foot, which caused that bottleneck because only one bttista fit every time. Once past this difficulty it we headed us by rails and roads parallel to the goal, it positioned next to the Bullring. This marathon is marked by the amount of damage that the team had malta. My nephew Peter blew the damper and therefore not completed the marathon. The Pereira broke his left foot and besides walk about one kilometer to push the bike also failed to complete the marathon. Jorge Fonseca was literally run over by another BTTista and how they broke Drpault his bike can not concuir marathon. For many kilometers the road Sousa walked around with his bike because there was a strange noise in the front brake system. It was a few kilometers walk, stop, see if I could discover the noise continued and persisted baraulho. Finally managed to solve the problem there and there completed the marathon. Summarizing the 7 members of the team have managed to finish fourth marathon. As always the first to arrive was Ricardo, then the other partner, Estrada de Sousa and then me. As a final balance all like to think perticipar Marathon this year and possibly for us back there at Povoa de Varzim to participate in the 4th Marathon. Here are some photos taken during the marathon.

Today 17th September 2009, I bought a new BIKE for my son Ricardo. It's a BIGHIT1 machine designed to make the circuit of DHU to be held next year. I think it is a good machine for what he intends to do. Who also won something my nephew was Peter who will get the bike DHU that Ricardo had. Let's see how the two behave in future events in which they participate. Here is a photo of the New Bike Ricardo received.

Algumas fotos do percurso.

Torcato, entry garden, a jump, entry on a ladder that gave access to the garden where this the lake, crossing the lake by a bridge and jump to some stairs, and the target was positioned at the bottom of the stairs. During this test it was noted that the athletes arrived very tired at the end because the journey was too long besides indeed tiring due to the many stairs that had heels like the photos efectuar.Somme fotos of the route.

Aqui ficam algumas fotos
On August 30, 2009 held more proof DHX this time in the city of Viseu and it could not be Ricardo Soares and Pedro Oliveira headed to that city to participate in the race. This year is the 2nd time participating in DHX trophy, as did Vila Nova de Gaia and now Viseu. Proves a distance of about 750 meters, technical, hard, too fast and be done with caution, pretty much, since it was held in the city of Viseu Historic Zone. The game was given the off Viseu Cathedral, across a garden, passing beneath a house, entering an alley with considerable unevenness, stairs, more stairs, entering a level of access stairs with landing, bend to the left, the home straight and about 50 meters from the finish line one spectacular leap mounted by the organization. This race did not go well when Ricardo Soares, as soon as the first drop of free practice at the end of the last stairs to the chamber air burst (Wheel 24) and as there were none in our bag of tools to replace, we had to walk there looking of the city. Amazingly there was not much in SPORT ZONE how even in any bike shop because they were closed. So what Ricardo had to invent some patches with "curitos" and a lot of chamber air pasted over the curitos to be able to make cuts to already true competition. When it finished repairs on the bike lane was already closed by that Ricardo had to make the first descent without having trained only once. This race also had some truly eventful journeys important, since the first Athlete opening free practice had to be transported to the hospital since the final jump fell and broke an arm. There were many holes, falls without major consequences, but there was one that was ugly, an Athlete in the final jump fell back and had to be tranportado be properly immobilized Hospital with a neck vest such was the violence of the impact (if he had not no protections know what it would be), so fortunately the other one as well and they seem to be nothing more serious happened. Here are some photos
